Therapy Questions

How long does a session last?
Sessions generally last 55 minutes, but adjustments can be made in certain situations.
What should I expect during my first session?

The first session’s primary goal is for you to know that you made the right choice, and you are not alone. By asking for help, you have already accomplished a significant step toward your goal.

A majority of the paperwork will be sent in advance. Our intake process is paperless for your convenience.

What age groups do you work with?

By having a choice of therapists, we can work with ages from 4 to 90. We have experience in trauma, anxiety, depression, guilt, PTSD, foster care, LBGQT, and academic stressors.

We work with individuals, couples, and families.

How long do I have to go to therapy?

Each person’s goals and needs are unique, so there is no set answer.

In the beginning, we are likely to meet weekly for about four weeks.

As you progress, adjustments will be made. We can address this at any time during therapy.

How long will it take to start to feel better?

After the initial visit, you will have a clear picture of what to expect. As the sessions continue, you’ll not only feel better, but also understand why these changes are happening.

The best feeling will be knowing that you deserve it!

If I see you individually, can my spouse/partner join us?
Yes. If it’s essential for your progression, it is allowed. However, during the beginning of sessions (typically about 4 to 6), we must meet individually. Their inclusion should not be a form of couples therapy, but to get to understand your treatment.
Do I need to bring my own tissues?
No, we supply top grade tissues – the best you’ve ever had!
How do I set up a consultation or make an appointment?

The best method is to click on our link. You can also text or email. If we are in session, we will reply at the first opportunity. A phone call is also a good method of contact.

When leaving a message, please leave the best time to reach you. Due to confidentiality, do not leave any details about the concerns you want to bring to our session.
